All eight IPL teams are gearing up for the 2nd phase of IPL 2021 which is starting on 19 September. Many overseas players have withdrawn their names from the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League. Some Cricketers withdraw their names because they had to prepare for T20 World Cup. Some want to spend some time with their family. BCCI has allowed the IPL teams to sign replacements for the players who will not participate in the 2nd leg of the Indian Premier League. Many Cricketers have not featured in the IPL before making a place in the replacement list.
The Mega League will start with the clash of the two biggest IPL teams, That is Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. The last time when these two teams met in the first phase of IPL 2021 in India, Kieron Pollard’s magical inning of 87* runs off 34 balls, helps Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings in a high scoring thriller match. All the fans are hoping for another cracking match when these two giants play on September 19. Earlier the league was suspended due to a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in India.

RCB’s replacement list for IPL 2021
Royal Challengers Bangalore who is currently at the third spot in the points table, signed four replacements ahead of the 2nd phase of the Indian Premier League in UAE. RCB managed to sign in Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga who was the top performer from the Sri Lanka side in the recently concluded ODI and T20 series against India. Wanindu Hasaranga replaced Adam Zampa. His teammate Dushmantha Chameera also get a chance to play for RCB. Chameera replaced Daniel Sams. RCB has also signed England’s George Garton for Kane Richarson. Singapore Tim David replaced New Zealand’s Finn Allen who will not available due to national duty.
PBKS’s replacement list for IPL 2021
Punjab Kings have roped in England’s Adil Rashid as a replacement for Australia’s Jhye Richardson. Adil Rashid is currently at no 4 in ICC T20 bowlers ranking. Apart from Adil, PBKS also signed Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis who took a hat-trick in his debut match against Bangladesh. He replaced Riley Meredith.
RR’s replacement list
Rajasthan Royals have brought ICC no1 T20 bowler Tabraiz Shamsi in place of Andrew Tye. New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips is in for Jofra Archer.
KKR’s replacement list
Tim Southee joined Kolkata Knight Riders as Pat Cummnis’s replacement for the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League.
