Gajanand Singh is a Guyana-origin America Cricketer. Gajanand made his first appearance at the International level for the United States of America, last year, and since then he is an integral part of the United States Cricket team. In his short span of cricket career, he holds the record for the second most fifties scored by an American Cricketer in T20 International cricket, with two half-centuries.

The batting all-rounder was part of the West Indies squad that played the U-19 World Cup tournament in 2006 in Sri Lanka.

Domestic Career

The left-handed batter made his first appearance in an FC match against Jamaica in 2008. In the same year, he got the opportunity to play in a List A game as well. Based on his performance in the domestic circuit, he was picked by Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League in 2017. He made his CPL debut against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on August 06, 2017.

Singh has played 10 FC games so far and scored 376 runs. He also took one wicket in FC matches with his left-arm medium bowling. He has featured in 16 List A games and scored 405 runs. Coming to his T20 stats he has played 22 games and scored 314 runs.

International Career

Gajanand’s major breakthrough came when he was invited by to the USA Cricket Combine trials in New York in May 2018. In 2021, he was invited to a selection camp in Texas, and later in June 2021, he got the green signal to take part in USA’s minor League Cricket tournament.

Based on his performance in Minor League Cricket tournament, the US selection committee named him in the USA Squad for Tri-series involving Papua New Guinea and Oman. Singh made his international debut against Papua New Guinea on September 6, 2021, at Al Amerat, Oman. He made his T20 debut for the USA, against Belize on November 7, 2021. He played an important part in USA’s historical T20I win over Ireland in December 2021.

International Cricket Stats

Gajanand has struck 375 runs in 14 ODI games for the United States of America at a batting average of 34.09 and strike rate of 87.20. He also featured in 11 International T20 games for the USA and scored 163 runs at a strike rate of 126.35.
