Welcome, we are going to share the ICC World Cup 2022 Schedule of the most successful team in the ICC T20 World Cup, West Indies. The biggest T-20 showpiece, ICC Men’s T20 WC 2022 begins on Sunday, October, 16 in Australia as sixteen squads aim to reach the grand WC Final and become world T20 champion on Sunday, November, 13.
The tournament will be held in Australia for the first time. This edition will be the last to feature 16 teams as the tournament is expanded to 20 teams from 2024 onwards. We will be talking about the history and schedule of the West Indies Cricket Team in this Marquee event.
West Indies Past Performance in the ICC WC T20
As always we have seen, WI has been blessed with many power-hitters, and this time too they have many match-winners who are capable of winning the game single handily. Coming to their performance in T20 WC, West Indies Cricket Team has reached the semi-final on four occasions and came victorious on two occasions. They first won the T20 WC Trophy in 2012 by beating Sri Lanka and the second time they won the trophy by beating England in the Final in 2016.
Overall, they have featured in 36 T20 games in ICC WC event and won 18 games. However, they have a 52.85 win% in this Marquee event.
ICC World Cup 2022 Schedule- West Indies Team
West Indies start their World Cup campaign on the second day of the tournament. They will meet Scotland in their first game at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. West Indies will play three games in Group B and all games will be played at Bellerive Oval, Hobart.
West Indies will face Zimbabwe in their second game on October, 19. West Indies will finish their group stage game with the game against Ireland on October, 21, as per ICC World Cup 2022 Schedule.
