The verbal banter between them happened during the seventh over of Indian Inning. After the fourth ball of the 17th over, Virat Kohli pointed out that James Anderson was running on the pitch after that James had a go at him as well. Virat Kohli responded and said, “You swearing at me again are you?? This is not your f**k backyard,” and even as the latter came up with a few words in between. The verbal fight between these two legends continued after the next ball as well. After the fifth ball, Virat Kohli continued to give back to Anderson by saying, “chirp.. chirp.. chirp. The banter was stopped only because Anderson’s spell ended.

IND vs ENG 2021: Kohli scored 20 runs in 2nd Inning

Just a few moments after the incident with James Anderson, Virat Kohli lost his wicket. Virat’s dry run with the bat continued as Sam Curran took the wicket of him just before lunch. Indian did not get the ideal start in the second inning of the Lord’s test as both openers got out cheaply. India needed a partnership to stay in the game. Virat Kohli and Pujara looked to build a partnership.

However, Sam Curran picked the Indian captain with an away-going delivery. Virat Kohli scored 20 runs off 31 balls in the second inning of 2nd Test of IND vs ENG 2021. (source)
