Ind vs Eng ODI 2021: Krunal Pandya Breaks Down during Interview

India posted a huge total of 317 runs in the 1st game of Ind vs Eng ODI 2021, thanks to Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul. Both added 112 runs partnership for the sixth wicket. Rahul scored 62 runs off 43. While Krunal scored 58 runs off 31 balls. Krunal Pandya hit 7 fours and 2 sixes during his inning.

Krunal Pandya Breaks Down remembering his Late Father

Krunal Pandya who batted superbly in the 1st match of Ind vs. Eng ODI 2021, now holds the record for the fastest fifty on debut match in ODI. Krunal got emotional during the interview after his brilliant inning of 58 runs. He was unable to speak anything during the interview about his knock.

Ind vs Eng ODI 2021: Summary So Far

The Format was changed. However, the outcome of the toss remains the same as England once again won the toss and elected to bowl first in the first match of Ind vs. Eng ODI 2021. Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna made their debut in ODIs. Rohit Sharma and Shikar Dhawan opened for India. Both added 64 runs before Rohit Sharma got out on 28 runs. Shreyas made 6 runs.

Shikar Dhawan who did not get many chances in the T20 series against England, missed a well-deserved century by two runs. Ben Stokes bowls a short ball to Dhawan and Dhawan tried to drag the ball across from off stump. However, Dhawan found the fielder at mid-wicket during the process. He hit 11 fours and 2 sixes during his inning. Ben Stokes picked his third wicket in the form of Hardik Pandya who opened the face of the bat and guided the ball towards the first slip. He got out 1 run in the first game of Ind vs Eng ODI 2021.

Debutant Krunal Pandya along with KL Rahul who was not in good form during the T20 series against England recently started the rescue process. Both Krunal Pandya and Rahul played sensibly and added an unbeaten partnership of 112 runs. India finished with a huge total courtesy to the late flourish from KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya. Both scored fifty. India reached 317/5 in their 50 overs in the first game of Ind vs Eng ODI 2021.

England got a brilliant start as their openers added 135 runs for the first wicket in just 14.2 overs. England openers put England into a commanding position. Prasidh Krishna who made his debut took the first wicket for India as Jason Roy got out on 46 runs. Prasidh Krishna got his second wicket in the form of Ben Stokes. Stokes got out cheaply on 1 run.

Johnny Bairstow got out in the nervous ’90s like Shikar Dhawan. Shardul Thakur bangs in short and Bairstow lashed out a pull shot and did not time well and found the fielder. He got out on 94 runs off just 66 balls. He hit 6 fours and 7 sixes during his inning. Shardul Thakur strike twice in the same over and dismissed Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler.
