Surya Kumar Yadav has announced himself on the big stage in the best possible fashion by smashing a six on the first ball after toiling hard for years in the domestic circuit and IPL. Yadav made his debut in the 2nd T20 against England. However, did not get the chance to bat in his debut match. Today he got the opportunity to bat at no.3 in place of Ishan Kishan who was ruled out due to a groin injury.

Yadav who was batting at no.3 smashed the first ball of his international career to a six as Jofra Archer bowled a short and quick bowl to Surya and he dispatched it into the stands. He played some delightful strokes during his inning of 57 runs. He hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his first inning in Ind vs Eng T20 series.

India finished at 45/1 at the end of the powerplay. KL Rahul who was looking good got out on a slower ball bowled by Ben Stokes as he mistimed his shot and Archer who was standing at mid-off took the catch. Rahul made 14 runs.
In the very next over, India lost a big wicket in the form of Virat Kohli who was in good form in this series. Adil Rashid deceived Virat Kohli with a googly. Virat tried to play a pre-mediated step-out shot and missed the ball and got stump out. Rashid took the wicket of Virat the second time in the series. Virat made one run.
Surya Kumar Yadav scored his first fifty in his first inning before getting out on 57. The dismissal of Yadav raised the question as the Indian dugout was not happy with the umpire decision. Yadav played a shot in the deep fine leg region on Sam Curran’s bowl and Malan took the catch while diving. The replayed showed that the ball was touching the ground with his hands around it. However, the on-field umpire had given out and the third umpire stayed with the soft signal given by the on-field umpire.
Rishabh pant played some big shots in his 30 runs inning. Archer bowled a ripper to dismissed Pant. Hardik Pandya made 11 runs before getting out of Mark Wood’s bowl. Shreyas Iyer carried his good form as he scored quickfire 37 runs off 18 balls with a five-four and one-six. In reply, England did not get the start they wanted while chasing this huge target. They lost Jos Buttler early. Bhuvneshwar took the wicket of Buttler. Rahul Chahar strike in his first over as he removed Malan 14 runs. Jason Roy once again played a good inning. However, failed to convert into a big as he got out on 40 runs off 27 balls. At the time of writing this, England was at 71/3 in 10 overs.
