India managed to bundle out the host for 183 thanks to the brilliant bowling by Indian pacers especially Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. England team was at 138 for three at one time and suddenly lost quick wickets and resulting in getting all out on 183. Jasprit finished the inning with a figure of 20.4-46-4. At the time of writing, India was at 17 for no loss.

Attacking Bowling by Jasprit and Shami in 1st session
England captain Joe Root won the toss and opted to bat first in the first Test match at Trent Bridge. Jasprit gave India the perfect start as Bumrah dismissed Rory Burns in his first over of the match. Jasprit Bumrah first bowls a couple of outswing deliveries to Burns and then surprised him with a sharp inswing. Burns got out on a duck. Both Bumrah and Mohammed Shami kept it tight in the first spell of their bowling. When Zak Crawley just started to regain some confidence, he was outdone by Mohammed Siraj through a nip-back delivery. Zak played an inning of 27 runs.

England was at 61 for two at the stroke of lunch. Just after lunch, England lost their third wicket in the form of Dom Sibley. Mohammed Shami who bowled beautifully throughout the inning got the wicket of Dom. Dom played a resolute inning of 18 runs. Joe Root along with Jonny Bairstow started the rescue process. Both added 72 runs partnership before Jonny Bairstow departed. He was dismissed just before Tea. Mohammed Shami bowled a full delivery into Bairstow’s pad and Baristow completely misses the ball. Bairstow made 29 runs.

India has managed to pull back this test match in equilibrium before Tea. Shami got his third wicket in the first over after Tea. Lawrence got out on a duck. Indian bowlers mounted pressure on English batters and bowled tight lines. As a result, an 18 ball duck for Jos Buttler. Bumrah induced Buttler to play a faulty drive and got the edge of the Buttler bat. The fall of Buttler’s wicket opened the tape of wickets for India. Shardul Thakur took the big wicket of Joe Root. Joe Root caught plumb in front. He played a brilliant inning of 64 runs.
Sam Curran played some big strokes and added some valuable runs. England bundled out for 183 runs. Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been the pick of the bowler for India.
