KKR began their IPL campaign with a win. Kolkata Knight Riders who won yesterday’s IPL game beat Sunrsiers Hyderabad by 10 runs. KKR who won yesterday’s IPL game put an impressive batting performance and posted a huge total of 187 runs on slow Chennai’s wicket courtesy to Nitesh Rana’s 80 runs. and Rahul Tewatia’s fifty. In reply, SRH failed to chase down the target. Manish Pandey’s fighting knock could not save SRH from a defeat. Johnny Bairstow also scored a fifty.

There were many powerful performances in the match. However, Nitesh was the top performer in this IPL match. Nitesh Rana won the man of the match award in yesterday’s game. Nitesh Rana who was tested positive for Covid-19 before the IPL started played a fine knock of 80 runs in the first match. Rana smacked 9 fours and 4 sixes against SRH.

Sunrisers captain won the toss and invited Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first. KKR got the perfect start to start their IPL campaign. KKR scored 50 runs in their batting powerplay. Nitesh Rana and Shubma Gill put on 53 runs partnership before Shubman Gill got bowled out by Rashid Khan. Gill produced an inning of 15 runs. From there on, Nitesh Raina in company with Rahul Tripathi gave KKR’s inning acceleration. The Two put on 93 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. After scoring a half-century, Rahul Tripathi departed on Natarajan’s bowling.

Andre Russell did not bother much as he dismissed on 5. Nitesh Rana produced a fine knock of 80 runs in 56 balls. KKR captain Eoin Morgan got out cheaply too. KKR went was reeling from 146/1 to 160/5. However, Dinesh Kartik played a rapid inning of 22 runs (4*2 & 6*1) off 9 balls. KKR set up a target of 188 runs against Hyderabad in this IPL match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad did not get a good start as they lost both their openers inside three overs. Manish Pandey and John Bairstow build a much-needed partnership to took the SRH’s inning on track. He registered an inning of 61 runs off 44 balls. KKR who won yesterday’s IPL match defeated SRH for the 13th time in IPL history.
