Monank Patel is an American Cricketer by profession and is currently the captain USA Cricket team. The United States Cricket Team Captain, Monank, is a right-handed wicket-keeper batter and holds the record for most runs in One Day International cricket for the USA. He also holds the record for most dismissals by an American Wicket-keeper in both International T-20 Cricket and One Day International cricket.

Monank full name is Monank Dilipbhai Patel. He was born in Gujarati Patel Family in Anand, Gujarat on May 01, 1993. His father is also a cricketer. Patel, who was born in India, got a USA green card in 2010. He permanently moved to the United States in 2016 and currently lives in New Jersey.

Monank Patel Cricket Career
Patel was part of Gujarat’s under 16s and under 19’s teams. In 2016, he completed moved to the USA and start playing the national-level domestic tournaments and club tournaments. In the USA, team selection is based on performance in two national-level tournaments that are held every year.
- A 50-over national level tournament involves teams from South Coast, North Coast, Central Coast, and East Coast.
- Second tournament is a minor T20 league.
Patel got selected for the national team, based on his performance in the domestic circuit for the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier in 2018. Patel was the leading run-scorer in the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier. ICC did not give this tournament matches as International T20 matches status until January 2019. That’s why Monank has to wait one year to make his International debut.
He made his International T20 debut for the United States on March 15, 2019, against the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. He made his ODI debut against Papua New Guinea on April, 27, 2019.

He trained alone at his academy because it is not easy to hire a professional coach in America. He generally records his practice session which is then analyzed by his national team coach and his father. He also plays in club tournaments that are held on weekends. Cricket is his full-time career and he also trained kids three times a week for a living.
