Australian resumed day 2 with Tim Paine and Green at the crease. The Aussie captain Tim Paine had brought his second fifty of the series during the 1st session of Day 2. Australia lost three quick wickets and was 315 for 8. However, with some brief resilience from Australia’s lower-order, Australia managed to post a score of 369. Debutant Natarajan was the top performer from the Indian side as he picked three wickets. Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur also picked three-wicket each.

Navdeep Saini got injured on 1st Day of the ongoing Test Match. BCCI on social media updated about Saini’s availability and said that Navdeep Saini was being monitored by the medical team after complaining of pain in his groin. A second update by the Board confirmed that the Saini went for scans later in the day. Navdeep’s return for the 2nd innings could be a big boost for India.
