The 2nd leg of IPL 2021 is just a month away and all the IPL teams would be raring to shine in the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League. Shreyas Iyer was not part of the Delhi Team in the first leg of IPL due to a shoulder injury. Delhi Capitals was at top of the points table before the suspension of IPL in May due to an increase in the number of Covid cases. Rishabh Pant had led the side in that Shreyas’s absence in April-May 2021.

Shreyas’ return to the Delhi team would have boosted their morale and chance to qualify for playoffs. Iyer has reached UAE with his DC teammates to begin preparations for the Mega Tournament. He has posted a story on his Instagram account about his arrival in the UAE. In this clip, he showcased the view of his hotel room.
Shreyas Iyer eyes on Strong Comeback
Shreyas had injured his shoulder in an ODI match against England in the month of March 2021. The injury was serious that he got ruled out of the 14th edition of IPL which was postponed later. Iyer had to undergo shoulder surgery. In his absence, Rishabh Pant took the charge and Pant did a brilliant job.
Delhi Capitals possed the most exciting batting line-up with the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, and Marcus Stoinis. Now, Shreyas also coming to the Delhi Capitals’ line-up, the DC’s batting line-up looking more lethal. DC team has reached the final in the last edition of IPL in UAE. This time DC will be eyeing to lift the IPL trophy.
Shreyas Iyer has scored 2200 runs in 79 IPL matches with a strike rate of 126 and an average of 31.43. He also smashed 16 IPL half-centuries with the highest score of 96 runs. (source)
