In reply, Afghanistan openers Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz started the counter-attack from the very fast bowler as both the openers added 83 runs in the powerplay. Immediately after the powerplay, Gurbaz bowled out. Gurbaz smashed 40 runs off 18 balls during his inning. The next batter, Ibrahim Zadran played a few shots before got run out in a very unfortunate manner. Afghanistan won the match in 11 over with Zazai remains not out on 37 and Najibullah Zadran on 2*.
