The 20 World Cup 2022 is the biggest Cricket event this year. This is the first ever in cricket history that the T20 World Cup will be played in two successive years. Australia will host the event this year after winning the trophy last year.
A total number of 16 teams are part of the ICC World Cup T20 2022. Out of these, 8 squads are part of the Qualifier round while 8 are part of the Super 12 round. In the Qualifier stage, there are squads like Sri Lanka, Namibia, UAE, Netherlands, West Indies, Scotland, Zimbabwe, and Ireland.
Out of these squads, 4 teams will qualify for the super 12 round of T20 WC 2022. In the super 12 round, 8 squads have been confirmed. They are Australia, England, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Afghanistan, South Africa, Pakistan, and India. There are divided into 2 groups. Group one has England, Australia, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. Group 2 has India, Pakistan, Bangladesh New Zealand, and South Africa.
The qualifiers will begin on October 16 while the main course from October 23. The final thriller will be played on November 13.
One Player From Each Team who can win the Man of the Tournament Award In 20 World Cup 2022
Australia: David Warner
Warner was the Player of The Tournament last year’s world cup helping the Aussies to win the final clash. He smashed 289 runs and was awarded the Player of the Tournament last year.
England: Jos Buttler
England’s hopes are high on Jos Buttler’s batting prowess as a top-notch T20 cricketer. He has found his best form in the bigger tournament and will be his side’s biggest hope in the biggest event.
New Zealand: Trent Boult
Boult haunted 13 wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and played a key role in helping his side reach the final of the tournament last year. In the fast and bouncy wickets of Australia, Boult will be the biggest game-changer bowler for the Kiwis in terms of wickets.
Pakistan: Babar Azam
Azam, the Pakistan captain will be his side’s biggest hope in the 20 World Cup 2022. He hammered 303 runs and ended as the highest run-scorer in the tournament.
