Invited to batting first, RCB opener Chris Gayle smashed the hundred in 46 balls with the help of twelve thunderstorm sixes and seven beautiful fours. He scored 117 runs off 57 balls and helped his team post 226 runs on the scoreboard.
9.Murali Vijay’s hundred against Rajasthan Royals
Murali Vijay, who scored a century against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2010, holds the 9th fastest IPL century record. While opening for Chennai Super Kings, Vijay brought up his hundred in 46 balls. He scored 127 runs with the help of 11 sixes and eight fours. With the help of Vijay’s ton, Chennai Super Kings posted a huge target of 247 in their 20 overs.
8.Mayank’s century against Rajasthan Royals
Mayank Agarwal is the latest edition to our list. Mayank scored a brilliant hundred against Rajasthan Royals in just 45 balls in IPL 2020. Punjab Kings posted a total of 223 runs on board. 6.David Warner’s century against Kolkata Knight Riders
David Warner, who was the winner of the orange cap in IPL 2017, smashed a brilliant hundred in front of Hyderabad’s crowd in 2017. He took 43 balls to complete his century against KKR bowlers. Overall he scored 126 runs off 59 balls with the help of eight 6s and ten 4s. With the help of Warner’s century, SRH added 209 runs in their 20 overs.
5.AB de Villiers’s century against Gujarat Lions
AB De Villiers, who scored a century in just 43 deliveries against Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016, holds the record for the fifth-fastest century in IPL. While playing for Deccan Chargers in the 1st season of IPL, Adam Gilchrist brought up his century in just 42 balls against Mumbai Indians in DY Patil Stadium. Adam Gilchrist, along with opener VVS Laxman, chased down the target of 155 runs set by the Mumbai team. Gilchrist scored 109* runs off 47 balls and helped his team to win the match by ten wickets inside 12 overs. He was selected as the man of the match for his splendid hundred.
3.David Miller’s century against Royal Challengers Bangalore
David Miller, who brought up his century in 38 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2013, holds the record for the third fastest century in IPL.
