World Cup 2022 schedule- New Zealand campaign begins with a rematch of last year’s T20 World Cup Final, against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. New Zealand is the most successful team in the ICC tournaments in the last couple of years as they reached the finals of the ICC World Cup in 2019 and ICC T20 World Cup in 2021. They also won the inaugural edition of the ICC Test Championship in 2021.

New Zealand’s Performance in Past

New Zealand has played only one Final in the ICC T20 tournament. Apart from one Final, NZ has qualified for the playoffs twice, once in the inaugural edition of this tournament in 2007 and the second time in 2016. Overall, the New Zealand team has played 37 games in the ICC T20 event and won 20 games. They have lost 15 games and two games result in a tie game.

New Zealand’s World Cup 2022 Schedule

The New Zealand team has been grouped with Australia, Afghanistan, England, and two teams that come through the first round of this tournament. New Zealand will play five games in the Super 12 stage in four venues; Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide. Coming to their schedule, they faced Australia in the first game on October, 22 at Sydney Cricket Ground.

New Zealand will play their second game against Afghanistan on October 26 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. They then met the top qualifier from the First Round’s Group A at Sydney Cricket Ground on October, 29. After that their campaign will head to Brisbane for their fourth game against England at Gabba on November, 1. New Zealand will play the second-placed qualifier from Group B in Round 1 on November, 4 in their last Super 12 game at Adelaide Oval.
