Yuvraj Singh who played the last competitive cricket in the T10 league in Abu Dhabi in November 2019, is eyeing a return to the domestic circuit. He had taken retirement from all forms of cricket in 2019. All cricketing fans are eagerly waiting to see him in the action. Yuvi has not played competitive cricket after the T10 league.

Good News for Indian Fans
Cricket in India came to halt after the Covid-19 outbreak. The last time India hosted South Africa was in March 2020 for the ODI series. After that, there was no cricket played in India because of lockdown and an increase in the number of Covid cases in India. Due to this pandemic, BCCI had to first postpone the IPL’s schedule and then swift IPL to UAE. During this outbreak, domestic competitions like the Ranji Trophy were also suspended. Now, finally, there is some good news for fans. The cricket in India is set to restart with the domestic T20 tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2021.
Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina set to return in Domestic Circuit
Yuvraj had taken retirement from all forms of cricket in 2019 so that he can play in a foreign league. Now, he is eyeing to play in India’s domestic competition. Punjab Cricket Association has named Yuvraj in the list of Punjab’s probable players for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. The 39-year-old cricketer needs BCCI’s approval to play in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Now, it is up to BCCI to allow him or not to play in the domestic league. It will be very interesting to see what happened. Yuvraj Singh has played 304 ODI and scored 8701 runs with an average of 36.5. He also scored 14 hundred in his ODI career. He has featured in 58 T20 matches and scored 1177 with a strike rate of 136.4. He was one of the biggest hitters in the cricket world. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy schedule
The tournament consists of a 32-team tournament. It will start on 10 January 2021. The final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will take place on the 31st of January 2021. However, BCCI has yet to release the schedule for the 10th edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Yuvraj Singh is not the only one who is making a return, Suresh Raina also sets to return to the domestic circuit after missing IPL 2020 due to personal reasons.
